Brisbane lockdown ends but mask mandate to remain

Despite Greater Brisbane being released from lockdown recently, some restrictions will remain in place across Queensland in a bid to fully stamp out the latest COVID-19 outbreak.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Chief Health Officer Jeanette Young said a number of rules will remain in place until April 15.

Mask mandate to remain

All Queenslanders still need to carry a mask when they leave their homes, and have been asked to wear them when indoor spaces such as shopping centres, supermarkets, indoor workplace, public transport, ride share vehicles and taxis. Masks are not required when undertaking “strenuous exercise” such as at the gym.
